The Mongoose NOMAD is many products in one really neat package. It's a reversing camera monitor and a GPS navigator with Bluetooth hands-free mobile phone communication - a unique combination of features not found on most other brands. It even plays movies !

We've also built-in many other user friendly features and with its 4.3" touch screen makes feature selection and GPS navigation a breeze to use - what's more, it also looks and feels good to touch and hold.

Its sleek design and clip-on windscreen mounting allows it to be readily removable from your car and fit neatly into your pocket or bag. REVERSING CAMERA MONITOR Simply plug-in the optional reversing camera, select reverse gear and the screen automatically displays the camera image overriding whatever is currently on screen. Not all cameras are compatible, call Mongoose for advice.

GPS NAVIGATION The Mongoose Nomad provides accurate street maps including features such as turn restrictions, one-way streets, main and side roads, points of interest and route re-calculation. The NAVTEQ digital mapping enables door-to-door route directions.   A rare feature is the ability to learn a route as you drive (trail). The Nomad includes both Australian and New Zealand maps - ideal for holidays in either country. Map updates, when available, can be downloaded direct from the Navteq website.

TTS (Text To Speech) Voice Direction Commands No more guessing which turn to take, the Nomad continuously monitors where you are and guides you with  voice announcementss which turn to take by saying the street name.

HANDS-FREE BLUETOOTH The Nomad has built-in Bluetooth® for hands free mobile phone communication. Stay focused on the road as dialling is simple via the Nomads touch-screen or by your downloadable address book.

ENTERTAINMENT The Mongoose Nomad also provides entertainment on the move thanks to the built-in movie/audio/music/video player and photo browser. Just download your favourite movies, TV programmes, music, talking books etc onto an SD card (not supplied) and plug it into the Nomad. We've also built in some games to idle away those odd moments when you just want to relax and have a bit of fun.
