A new remote has to be memorised into your security system for it to operate - this is called 'code learning'. The coding instructions can be found in your owners manual (which you can download from our website if yours is misplaced) or is detailed below.

To learn new remotes:

MX50, M560

• Disarm by existing remote, or use the override
• Ignition ON and press override button 4 times and hold down on 4th press (siren chirps after 3rd press)
• Press arm button on first remote (siren chirps)
• Press arm button on second remote (siren chirps)
• Repeat for any other remotes
• Release the override button and turn ignition OFF
• NOTE: existing remotes must be re-learnt at the same time

M550 - AA500 - M1200MKII - AM1600 - AM3000

• Gain access to alarm module from under the dashboard or wherever it's concealed
• Locate the programming switch inside the module - (micro-switch next to dip switches)
• Disarm by existing remote, or use the override
• Ignition ON
• Press programming switch 4 times and hold down on 4th press (siren chirps after 3rd press)
• Press arm button on first remote (siren chirps)
• Press arm button on second remote (siren chirps)
• Repeat for any other remotes
• Release the switch and turn ignition OFF
• Re-assemble the dashboard
