The New Zealand Security Association (NZSA) has established a method to help identify 'standards certified' vehicle security systems. Their Star Rating system can only be used by their vehicle security group members which consists of manufacturers, importers, retailers and installers.

Here is a brief description of what the Stars mean:-

3 Star systems are engine immobilisers with no alarm functions.

4 Star systems are 3 Star immobilisers but also include basic alarm functions such as bonnet, boot and door protection.

5 Star systems are 4 Star immobiliser/alarms but offer additional security by way of a battery back-up siren and glass protection to help prevent intrusion through the glass area of a vehicle.

INSTALLATION: We recommend that the security system should be professionally fitted by an NZSA registered installer or a Mongoose authorised dealer. Mongoose dealers/installers are listed on this website under 'Where To Buy'.

We advise against purchasing from auction based websites such as TradeMe from persons not listed on our website as warranties will be void and quality of installation may not be up to 'Standards'.
