The DB Drive 8 inch underseat active subwoofer, rated 150W RMS. It is the practical way to add bass to a vehicle where boot space is not available or not worth losing.
Active means the amplifier is built in, so there is no separate amp to mount and wire. The slim enclosure is designed to fit under a seat, which keeps it out of sight and leaves your boot usable. In a ute, it fits behind or under the seat without eating into cab space.
It still needs a power feed from the battery, an earth and a signal input from your head unit or speaker outputs. An 8 inch underseat unit will not match a boot-mounted 12 inch for output, but it fills in the low end that factory door speakers cannot reach.
