Mongoose Q-Mat sound deadening, supplied as a bulk pack of nine sheets. Q-Mat is applied to the inside of door skins, floor pan, boot and wheel arches to damp panel vibration and cut road noise.
It does two jobs. It stops thin metal panels resonating, which removes the rattle and buzz you get from door cards at volume, and it reduces the road and tyre noise coming into the cabin. On utes and vans, where there is little factory insulation, the difference is noticeable even without an audio upgrade.
A nine-sheet pack covers a typical pair of front doors with material left over. Clean the panel thoroughly before applying and use a roller to work out air pockets.
