Front and rear parking sensor kits for New Zealand cars, utes and vans. Sensors mount in the bumper and give an audible warning as you approach an obstacle, which is useful on vehicles with poor rear visibility or long overhangs.
Rear kits are available with 22mm rim sensors in black or white, and a 27mm rim rubber sensor version designed for metal bumpers. There is a moulded-head kit for utes. Front kits use 22mm rim sensors and activate automatically. A Toyota parking speed module and a replacement buzzer are also listed.
Sensor size and colour are the two things to check: the rim size determines the hole you drill, and picking a colour close to your bumper makes the install look factory. Sensors need to be drilled and mounted in the bumper, so this is generally a job for an installer.
